Terrence Melquist

Terrence Melquist grew up in Winnipeg’s North End and heard of ICYA through their drop in. Through St. Aidan’s school is where he got to know one of the community ministers who walked with him through hard times and good times. He was a troubled youth that had a lot going on - drinking, drugs and being affiliated with gangs. Fortunately, Terry left that life behind and now works at ICYA in the work skills program as the Step Up Construction Coordinator. He aims to guide youth and young adults involved in the program towards their goal of learning valuable work skills, while also walking alongside them as they grow in their faith.
