ICYA’s Privacy Policy:

In accordance with applicable laws, Inner City Youth Alive (ICYA) is committed to protecting the privacy of its participants, donors, volunteers, employees, directors, officers and any other persons about or from whom ICYA collects personal information.

ICYA embraces the principles of the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information to ensure that all personal information is properly collected, used only for the purposes for which it is collected and is disposed of in a safe and timely manner when no longer required.

ICYA never rents, exchanges or sells any information about our supporters to any other organizations.

Commitments:

  • ICYA respects and honours our supporters and participants, their rights to be treated fairly and have their privacy protected.

  • We are fully committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act of 1988.

  • We adhere to best practices for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information as outlined below in this policy.

  • We collect and use personal information only for the purposes of establishing and maintaining lists of donors and managing tax receipts.

Protecting Your Privacy:

  • ICYA strictly follows our privacy procedures to safeguard physical and electronic donor and donation data.

  • ICYA never rents, exchanges or sells mailing lists of our supporters to other organizations.

  • Supporters’ information is kept both in hard copy and electronic forms secured on and off site with access only to approved employees.

  • Encryption methodologies are used when collecting and/or transferring donor and credit card information via the Internet, ensuring a secure transfer of your confidential data from your browser to our secure bank.

Web Analytics

  • ICYA uses Google Analytics to advertise our web site and make it easier to find and to use. Google Analytics uses cookies to help collect anonymous traffic and activity data.

  • ICYA maintains a presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin platforms. We use basic end user tracking and data to help target posts and ads.
