Nancy Zapata

Nancy was first introduced to ICYA by Sandra Zapata, who helped her by referring her to the St. Aidan's Christian School. Nancy has always been a helper. She first volunteered at a north end community church for a food bank for a little over 6 years when she came to Canada, as a way to help give to people in need. She has worked at a retirement home, to make breakfast for seniors, and cleaning around the building. For the last 4 years she has cleaned for a company and private houses. When she got to work as a cleaner for a temporary position at ICYA, she saw it is most important to have God at the centre, and that is why she feels blessed to come along to a place that teaches us to love and help our neighbor. To help around when is needed, to give a smile and laugh.. She is glad and happy to be part of this lovely and wonderful organization.
