John Vasili

John came to Canada from South Sudan with his family in 2004. His family consists of his mother, four sisters, one older brother and John who lands right in the middle of the siblings.

John started working at ICYA as a summer staff when he was 15 years old and has been working here for nearly 7 years since. When he’s not working, he’s either playing basketball or hanging out with friends and loved ones, or studying for university courses. He’s currently in the business faculty at the University of Manitoba working towards a bachelor of commerce.

John loves working at Inner City because of the impact it allows him to have on the lives of the youth he connects with on a daily basis. He’s driven to show the youth who Christ is and to be a healthy role model for the next generation.
