Gord Klassen

Gord has been working at ICYA since 2009 as the director of Gem Lake Wilderness Camp. Before formally joining ICYA, he and his family volunteered several weeks each summer for seven years as the host family at Gem Lake. He also volunteered with the Inner City Motorsport program while it was running.

Gem Lake has been a big part of Gord's family. All three of his kids have worked as cabin leaders over the years. Beckie helps out for about half of each summer with cooking and being the Camp Mom.

Gord and Beckie spent almost ten years with the Africa Inter Mennonite Mission, working as dorm parents for missionary kids in a remote village in Burkina Faso, West Africa.
