Emily Rempel

Emily first heard about ICYA from her husband who had volunteered as a teen. Emily had never interacted with ICYA herself, but had many friends who shared similar experiences volunteering as youth. She and her husband, Daniel, met while working at Red Rock Bible Camp, so youth and kids ministry was always a big part of her life. After attending Providence University, Emily and Daniel got married and moved to Winnipeg where Emily found herself working as a wedding floral designer. She always wondered whether she would end up back in ministry someday. In the spring of 2020, Emily saw that ICYA was hiring and happily joined as the Administrative Assistant in August of that year!

Since then, she and Daniel have welcomed their son Henry into the mix! After taking a maternity leave, Emily came back to ICYA in a different role, joining the Development team where she enjoys connecting with donors and sharing stories of the exciting things God is doing at ICYA.

Outside of working at ICYA, Emily loves getting ice cream from Sargent Sundae, going for bike rides, and taking trips to the lake with her family (and pup Margot).
