Become a Volunteer

Join a great team striving to bring hope and future to youth and their families in Winnipeg's North End.

Why volunteer?
Each of our programs provides the opportunity for significant and meaningful volunteer involvement. Whether joining a staff or volunteer team, your life will be impacted. It is our desire for your experience to be life-changing and life-giving: both for you and those you serve.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Bridge
The purpose of The Bridge Drop-in is to introduce children and youth to a relationship with a loving God and to provide a safe, accepting, and exciting environment on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. Each night caters to a different age group, ranging from 5 to 28 years old, which is run by two or more Inner City Youth Alive staff and a number of volunteers. Kids can come and go as they please to enjoy games, snacks, tournaments, a God Talk and a variety of other activities.

Volunteers generally follow a two-step process. First, contact Inner City Youth Alive and ask to speak with the Volunteer Coordinator to discuss the program you are interested in and arrange a time to come in and check it out. Second, fill out the volunteer application, child abuse registry and criminal check forms (latter two only if working directly with youth). Once completed and approved, we welcome you to our team!
